Welcome to my Ramblings page.
Where if you actually read it and don't hate me after 5 minutes,
 well.. That's just cool.

A Note: For the moment this page is just in plain text.
 Nothing fancy whatsoever.
It's easier to plop thoughts down that way and since I am just
starting with this page, it makes it easier for me.

Stuff I am listening too this week:

Trying to sift through some old recordings to get some good stuff on this site!

My Drumming Pet Peeves 1) People who want you to come in and be a drop in replacement for their old drummer. Drummers who do that are called "Hired Guns" as in, Paid to do that. I actually went to a band tryout that went like this: Here play this.. Then This.. Then This Then this.. then 4 on the ride then... Cause you know I just want to be your trained monkey..... NOT I understand that perhaps a songs foundation has been worked out, but the reason you have one Drummer over another is their style and ability to take your basic idea's and take it farther by adding their own musical outlook and style. Disallowing personal expression is a great way to loose more drummers than Spinal Tap. If you loose any member of your band you expect your sound to change a bit. HOWEVER 2) People who don't get it that as a drummer I can play things 100 different ways. If you just expect us(drummers) to mind meld with you to know what you want your going to not be very happy. Then again stating exactly beat for beat what you want for the entire song is way over the top! * Better yet, put together a mix of songs you like the drumming on and stuff you like as an example of what you feel you want for the band to sound like as an example. 3) People who say "for the musicians and the drummer". Becouse yes drummers are just not musicians..NOT Many are the same ass's who also believe women should not be in music. 4) Great bands with not so great drummers; followed by great bands looking for X musician with the most horrid singer, who is also usually the guitarist. Then they wonder why they can't find a drummer or bassist. Dude (usually it's a guy) your already the guitarist, you dont HAVE to sing. Do what's best for the Band and not for your Ego, get a real singer and stick to backup. 5) Band websites which seem to only have photos of the singer or whomever is the front person. Also bands who do not list credits for the musicians who played a song, only the "writer" Defintion of a band = a GROUP of people making music. 5B) All or mostly Flash Websites. BLEH!!!! I have yet to talk to one person who likes them. 6) People who don't know how to Jam
