Meet the Band

Honeyshot answers the question "What would a female Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin sound like?"

Three unique and talented musicians have come together to form a gestalt of female power known as Honeyshot!

Honeyshot is an all-female three-piece hard rock/heavy metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Its members have diverse musical influences, ranging from Aretha Franklin to Ozzy Osbourne and many other artists from the 70's through the 90's.

Margaret Scranton:
Guitars

Early on, Margaret decided that against the odds, she needed to fulfill her dream of an all female hard rock band.

Formerly in the bands Mother Earth and Crazy Daisys, Margaret eventually decided to start a brand new band. Through careful searching and loads of great karma, Honeyshot was formed.

Some of Margaret's guitar influences are Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin).

Veronica Hadsell:
Bass & Vocals

Veronica, formerly of the band Violation, answered an ad placed by Margaret. Veronica auditioned as a bassist, yet surprised Margaret with the fact that she could sing as well!

Some of Veronica's bass influences are John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), and Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead).

Her vocal influences include Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane), Rob Halford (Judas Priest), and Geoff Tate (Queensryche).

Nicole Melody Harrington:
Drums & Things

Nicole, the newest member of Honeyshot, hails from Maryland.
She had been playing the drums since grade school, but ten years ago Nicole traded her drums for a career in computers.

Fortunately, she was put back on the road to Rock-n-Roll by a chance encounter that led her to audition for Honeyshot when their original drummer moved out of state.

Nicole's drum influences include Carl Palmer (Emerson Lake & Palmer), Bill Bruford and Alan White (Yes), Neil Peart (Rush), Prairie Prince (The Tubes), and Rick Allen (Def Leppard).
